There are many challenges that women today face in their everyday lives. We take care of our children, partners, co-workers, and parents to name a few. The last thing we consider taking care of is ourselves. Emotionally, physically, or financially. There are daily situations where we have to stand up for others but we rarely stand up for ourselves.

When you're overwhelmed with daily living it is difficult to find the energy, time and money to do what's necessary when breast cancer sneaks up and attacks. Breast cancer isn't just something that happens to older women, but moms, sisters, aunts, daughters and more. It doesn't discriminate age, status, or lifestyle.
This is where you can help. After seeing too many premenopausal women struggle with insurance companies, physicians, and other obstacles that can stand in the way when faced with the possibility of this debilitating condition, we are hoping we may have found a viable solution for some women.

The Amy's Angels Foundation is a non-profit charity created in honor of our close friend, Amy Wells, that is still currently a contender in her fight against stage 4 breast cancer. In our careers as registered nurses and our personal lives as close friends of a breast cancer warrior, we have identified some issues and hopefully can alleviate some of the hardships that women are faced with. We have decided to address the three we feel we have the skills and ability to find solutions for.

One of Amy's Angels goals is to raise funds for premenopausal women to receive assistance to pay for diagnostics and treatment that many insurance companies deny due to a lack of risk factors. Many young women are told,"Its just a cyst, come back in 3 months". By that time, it could be too late.

There are too many times that this isn't an issue because a concerned woman may be brushed off by her physician or just considered dramatic from the very beginning. Amy's Angels will supply a specially trained advocate that can accompany her to physician and diagnostic appointments. Whether to speak for her or just hold her hand to give her the strength to speak for herself.

When breast cancer does strike, especially in premenopausal women, there are many others people that are affected. Children, husbands, even parents are left to pick up pieces while the patient herself is exhausted by the ongoing fight for her life. Amy's Angels plans to offer respite care for the patient and her caregivers. Even if it is only a few hours to play a round of golf or take the kids to the zoo. It can make a world of difference to the patient and everyone around her.

There are many amazing organizations that are specialized in raising funds for breast cancer research. Each day they are working diligently to find a cure for one of the leading killers among all women. Amy's Angels is also dedicated to supporting organizations such as these through volunteering and referrals.

Your support for the Amy's Angels Foundation will help us come closer to reaching our goals. When you purchase greeting cards from Kevin Adkins Adventures, 100% of the profits are donated to Amy's Angels. As our supporter, we will send you a certificate to display in your home or office recognizing you as a founding contributor in this amazing organization. You will also be one of the first to be invited to view our website and join this awesome cause!
Please help us help others to fight with dignity and win their battle! Thank you very much!
